The Finance Office provides many services to the Town of Williamston to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manages the receipt and deposit of moneys, investments and fixed assets
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and monitors the Town's expenditures throughout the year
  • Provides accounting and financial management systems in accordance with the North Carolina General Statutes
  • Manages the Town's debt
  • Procures goods and services for the Town and accounts payable
  • Manages payroll and benefits
  • Provides risk management services
  • Prepares the Town's financial reports
  • Supervises the financial operations of other Town departments
