New Martin County Geocaching Trail is live!

The new Martin County Geocaching Trail is live!

What is geocaching? Geoaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Participants can use a handheld GPS unit, or simply install an ap on their smart phones. Many GPS units designed for automobiles can also be used for geocaching. Visit www.geocaching.com for more information.

What is the Martin County Geocaching Trail? Geocaching points are set up at 10 locations across Martin County. At each location, unlock the treasure box using the code provided on the participant guide, take one coin per person, sign the log book (optional), and reset the combination to the box. When you collect all 10 coins, trade them in for a prize pack including souvenirs from Martin County and its towns!
