| Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center |
|
Recent
development of the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural
Center in Williamston has helped spur an economy long dependent on
agriculture. The Center has established Williamston as a destination for
those attending horse shows, tractor pulls, motorcycle races, national
entertainment acts, regional boat shows and more regional and national
events. In addition to a 2400 seat arena, the center boasts a new 15,000 sq.
ft. conference center that can accommodate up to 700 convention goers. With
these new opportunities for growth and economic activities in the retail and
service sector, the town has embarked on a mission to develop support
businesses which compliment the new center and conference facilities. The
Town recognizes the importance of meeting the needs of the diverse crowds
that frequent the facilities. To this end, the town provides web access to
available properties in the downtown and support to new business endeavors
in the district. |
